Update Regarding Trinity’s Potential New Move

We had a wonderful Q&A session on Tuesday and are looking forward to another one tonight.  There have been so many great ideas from all of you and we are very appreciative!  One idea that was given was to collect the oral histories from folks over at Hyde Park UMC.  We all think this is a beautiful idea regardless of whether or not everyone votes to move.  Did you know that Trinity came from folks who were a part of Hyde Park UMC originally?  Our histories are intertwined in many ways.  Grace Johnson has agreed to chair a committee that will gather oral histories of Hyde Park UMC and Trinity UMC and put them together in a presentation.  If you would like to be a part of this committee, please email the office at mail@tumc.org.

Don’t forget, you can join the discussion at www.tinyurl.com/TUMCmove!  This is a discussion posted on Trinity’s Facebook page – www.tumc.org/Facebook.  You can view the discussion without having a Facebook account, but have to login in order to post anything.

I will be posting an information and discussion page on this site soon!  It will have a FAQ section and a place for you to discuss the potential move.

Thanks,
Amy

  1. Thanks so much for this information. I couldn’t make any of the info sessions, so I’m really curious to know if there are any substantial drawbacks or obstacles to the move. I checked out the FB page, and other people seem to have the same question. Thanks!

    • Hi, there! Check out the FAQ on the Trinity’s Move page (www.tumc.org/move.) There is a bunch of information there that should answer a lot of questions you might have.
