Caritas Thanks Trinity

Dear Reverend Dr. Hall and Friends,

Thank you for your donation in the amount of $259. 15 to Caritas of Austin, which we received from the Southwest Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Your gift brings us closer to our vision of a community where there is respect for all individuals, hope for those experiencing poverty and opportunities for self reliance. Our mission of providing a network of services for those experiencing poverty begins with a safety net for emergencies and then provides resources for clients to reach self-sufficiency.

This year Caritas will…

  • Serve 20,000 adults and children
  • Provide 2,725 households with rent and utility assistance
  • Serve 100,000 hot meals in the Community Kitchen
  • Provide take-home groceries for 70,500 meals

One day we hope poverty will be history and homelessness will be unacceptable. Each of us can help improve this community – thank you for helping Caritas of Austin make a difference.

Sincerely,

Beth Atherton, Executive Director

Sara Seifert, Communication & Faith Coordinator
