Join TX Impact on November 13 in Austin for this important legislative training opportunity!
The 82nd Texas Legislature convenes on January 11, 2011. On the agenda: redistricting, major environmental and energy legislation, contentious immigration proposals, and the worst budget shortfall in a generation.
Where do mainstream individuals and communities of faith fit into this picture? What wisdom can our traditions offer to the secular policy debate? How can citizens participate effectively in the discussion without getting “in the weeds”? Does one voice really make a difference?
This half-day training and discussion event will guide participants through information about current public policy issues in Texas and how they can bear effective, informed witness in the upcoming legislative session.
