Texas Drought Project – Forum on Climate Justice

The upcoming COP-16 Climate Conference in Cancun, Mexico, successor to the failed Copenhagen climate summit, is widely considered the last chance for an agreement that could help mitigate climate change.  University of Texas professor Robert Jensen will lead a panel that includes Victor Menotti, director of the International Forum on Globalization; Genaro Lopez-Rendon, Southwest Workers Union; and Dr. Martina Cartwright of the Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

The event is sponsored by the Texas Drought Project and and the SEED Coalition, co-sponsored by Trinity UMC.  The Texas Drought Project addresses climate change and the state’s precious water resources in the face of perpetual drought.  For more information, contact Alyssa Burgin, alyssa@texasdroughtproject.org, (210) 381-4021.
