Youth News

Last Sunday we used our acting skills to role-play a real life situation of conflict. The youth tried out different forms of conflict resolution and were able to come up with an effective strategy for peace-making. A lively and interesting discussion ensued about cultural and gender influences on how conflict is expressed, and the kids were challenged to think about how to be a peacemaker within their own home, school, and community environments.Next Sunday, in addition to continuing our peace discussions, we will take our first walking field trip from the new church– to Quack’s for a treat, to celebrate Matthew and Angela’s birthdays.

Upcoming dates:

December 5th- Bake Sale for Heifer Project (10am-12:30pm)- come prepared with baked goods and be ready to sell for Heifer!

Date TBA- Youth Christmas Lunch
