Volunteer Opportunity – Cold Weather Shelter

We’re looking for volunteers for Trinity’s Freeze Night / Cold Weather Shelter for the homeless.  Trinity has made a commitment to The Austin Resource Center for the Homeless (ARCH) to be available on Thursdays to provide dinner and shelter for 30 men if it’s going to freeze.  We’ll be sending out emails (or phone calls) to volunteers to commit to a particular time and date and leave their schedules free in case there’s a freeze night.  If we’re needed, we’ll know by about noon on that day (always Thursdays).  We also need volunteers in December (until we have a kitchen at the church) to bring by dinner for 6 people if we’re hosting the shelter. Please contact Mariposa McGriffy by leaving a message at the church or by email (shelter@tumc.org) for more information.
