Hope Food Pantry Austin’s 4th Annual Hunger Meal – Feb. 20th

  • Where: Tarrytown United Methodist Church, 2601 Exposition Blvd.
  • When: Sunday, February 20th at 5:30 pm
  • Tickets: $12 in advance, $15 at the door; Contact Stephanie Humphreys at 744-5136 or info@hopefoodpantryaustin.org.

The Hunger Meal, a Hope fundraiser, educates the public about hunger issues in our community.  Similar to the way we serve food recipients, attendees are divided by a lottery into upper, middle, and lower income groups represented in Travis County.  The dinner served depends on the group chosen.  The upper-income group is served a 4-course meal by a wait staff, the middle income group has a buffet-style pasta dinner, and the low-income group has rice and beans.  There will also be a silent auction.
