MFSA Chapter Meeting Thursday, February 10

The Southwest Texas Chapter of the Methodist Federation for Social Action will hold its February 2011 meeting Thursday, February 10 in St. John’s Fellowship Hall. The program will be a DVD entitled “Meeting with a Killer: One Family’s Journey”. It is the story of the carefully planned mediation between Houston area resident Linda White, her granddaughter, and one of the men who raped and murdered her adult daughter in 1986. Linda spoke powerfully against the death penalty at the MFSA meeting held at St. John’s last September. The DVD is an equally powerful witness for reconciliation and forgiveness. Come at 6:30p for snacks and mingling; the program begins at 7:00p. Bring a friend! If you have questions, contact Anne Mund at 343-0803 orennadnum@hotmail.com.
