Youth News

Last Sunday, Feb. 13th, we celebrated Valentine’s Day by doing a guided Buddhist loving-kindness meditation. Afterwards, we discussed our experiences of the meditation, and how to increase our compassion towards others. We also talked about teen experiences of Valentine’s days, and how to help people out that are having a harder time on that day.

This Sunday, Feb. 20th, we will be learning more about world hunger in preparation for our community service of attending the Crop Walk.

Mark your calendar– Sunday, March 6th, the youth group will be attending the 11:15 church service, and then heading over to Decker Lake for a pre-walk picnic, followed by walking in the Crop Walk. The walk itself starts at 2:30. Parents, please arrange transportation to and from the lake for your youth.
