Dear Reconciling Friends,
More than ever before, Reconciling Ministries Network (RMN) is poised to change the discriminatory policies of The United Methodist Church at the 2012 General Converence in Tampa, Florida to support the full inclusion of all God’s people. We would not be in the position we are today to change the hears and minds of our church without the loyal support of Reconciling Communities like Trinity UMC of Austin.
Yours and nearly 500 other Reconciling Communities are making a difference. Last month, RMN launched with its coalition partners Love Your Neighbor, a grassroots and legislative organizing campaign to develop relationships with delegates to General Conference via one-on-one phone calls and meetings, including RMN’s first ever international strategy with Central Conference delegates. At Sing A New Song in Ohio, we mobilized every participant and made over 650 phone calls to General Conference delegates in less that 10 minutes! It was incredibly exciting!
RMN is able to accomplish its Love Your Neighbor campaign and strategies for the 2012 General Converence by the generosity of Reconciling Communities like yours. We thank you for your gifts of $491 in 2011. They go a long way towards empowering and networking United Methodists across the country to Believe Out Loud.
