Please RSVP to fundraising@tumc.org if you are planning to bring your unwanted gold jewelry to Wednesday night dinner/classes/choir on March 24th between 6:00 and 8:30 p.m. to be weighed and priced. This will give them an idea of how many folks they will need to meet with so that they can have enough representatives on-hand.

We have two very important upcoming meetings for you to put on your calendar. On Sunday, March 21st, we invite all of you to meet with us here at 2 PM for a Q&A session regarding our potential move to 4001 Speedway (currently Hyde Park UMC.) This is the opportunity for you to ask questions and express concerns so that you may feel prepared to vote. On Thursday, March 25th, Bobbi Kaye (District Superintendent) will lead our Church Conference here at 7 PM. This is when all members can vote whether or not he or she wishes Trinity to move to the new Speedway location. If you would like to become a member before March 25th in order to be able to cast your vote, please see Sid.

A huge thanks to all who supported Hope Food Pantry Austin’s 3rd annual Hunger Meal fundraiser. It was a huge success and many have said they are excited for next year’s event. All the fun items were sold, the food from the 4-course meal to the rice and beans was delicious, and everyone learned about the day-to-day operation of the pantry and what it takes to provide 50 families with bags of groceries each week. This one fun evening added up to over $4500 to help support disadvantaged families. Each donation adds up making a big difference in our community.

Ever wonder what it’s like to walk over 2000 miles over the Appalachian Trail? Kelli Hardin and her dog, Gracie, spent six months hiking from Georgia to Maine in 2009, and have stories and pictures to share of their experience: encounters with wildlife, wild weather, breathtaking vistas, trail magic, and the fascinating community of people along the trail.
Join us Sunday, March 21st to hear and see all about Kelli’s journey. The evening will begin with a potluck dinner at 6, then Kelli’s presentation will start at 6:45.
